Through our Applied Management Professionals Program, M Powered Strategies offers graduate students a rare internship opportunity consulting to federal government clients. Applied Management Professionals (AMPs) work in teams at a government client site under the direction of an experienced M Powered Strategies Project Manager.
This unique internship offers motivated students the experiences they need to identify and pursue fulfilling careers that shape and improve the operations of the U.S. Federal Government.
In addition to government client assignments, AMPs work collaboratively on a project to enhance the M Powered Strategies corporate structure. We also offer a one-on-one mentorship program, host networking events and coordinate excursions to local attractions.

2013 Application Exercise Background
The Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Information Technology Shared Services (ITSS) Office is required to achieve a certain level of performance as defined by various Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The existing metrics associated with those SLAs are evaluated in the form of a data reporting tool called Business Object Reports. Although the reports give static information regarding performance, the reports lack context and do not provide the opportunity to understand changes in performance over the course of time. As such, further assessment of SLA Performance is needed.
2013 Application Exercise
The government client has given you the task of using the SLA performance data to understand and document trends in performance for Desktop Engineering team. This team is responsible for “responding to and resolving incidents that require ‘hands-on’ or desk-side support from a technician, a higher level of in-depth technical knowledge or research” than a DOT customer could expect from the Service Desk. Your requirement is to analyze the trends and provide recommendations to increase overall SLA performance of the Desktop Engineering team. Click here to download the SLA performance data. Please provide the following analysis:
