Organizational Development Services
Wes holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the Pennsylvania State University and has more than six years of specialized experience managing and consulting on projects in both the private and federal sectors. Since joining M Powered Strategies in 2010, Wes has consulted to the Business Resources Management Office (BRMO) and Information Technology Resource Management (ITRM) within the Office of Information & Technology (OIT) at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) as well as the Domain Governance Office (DGO) and Information Technology Infrastructure and Operations (ITIO) with the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) at the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) by assessing organizational structure, recommending design modifications, and drafting and implementing change management plans. Prior to joining M Powered Strategies, Wes managed web-based projects at a large best-practices consulting firm. As manager of the Organizational Development Service Line, Wes continues to develop organizational development tools and templates aligned with MPS’ organizational development methodology in order to streamline and pinpoint organizational problems.
Program Development Services
Carl Crampton is a 20-year veteran of the United States Coast Guard and has more than 20 years of program management experience in both the public and private sectors. Prior to joining M Powered Strategies (MPS), Carl provided senior project management support for a range of IT companies including Nextel and Sprint. In 2007, Carl decided to apply his knowledge and experience in program and project management to help Federal Government agencies improve their service delivery, which led to his role in Program Development Services at MPS. Since joining MPS, Carl has served as a trusted adviser on long-term engagements in the Office of IT Enterprise Strategy, Policy, Plans and Programs (ESPPP); IT Resource Management (ITRM); and Veterans Relationship Management (VRM) within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), providing strategy development and program implementation support. Carl is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and active participant in the Project Management Institute (PMI) Washington DC Chapter. He is also Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) by Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).
Business Development Manager
Jimmy’s passion for public service is his driving force, with over six years of experience overseeing project success through leadership, communication, negotiation, organization, and problem solving. Since joining M Powered Strategies in 2013, Jimmy has applied these skills on client engagements at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) by providing project support on the Affordable Care Act (ACA) implementation project, development support to the Vendor Management Office (VMO) within the Domain Governance Office (DGO), as well as sales process improvement and development support within M Powered. Originally from Seattle, WA, Jimmy earned a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Washington (UW) and a M.A. in International Economics and International Relations from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). Jimmy is an active member of the DC chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMIWDC) as well as a member of The American Council for Technology (ACT) and Industry Advisory Council (IAC).
Community Engagement Manager
Kat has over five years of experience consulting for non-profit and private sector organizations in strategy, financial accounting, and marketing. For the Federal Government, she is currently managing a contract within the Department of Veterans Affairs. She previously served on an organizational development project team at the Department of Health and Human Services. Kat holds a Master of Business Administration from the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester and has over two years of international economic development experience in Sub-Saharan Africa as a United States Peace Corps volunteer. Passionate about volunteerism, Kat is focused on improving corporate programs catered to public service as well as building capacity of organizations that provide social benefit to both local and global communities.
Director of Human Resources
Raised in New Zealand, Andrew earned his MBA from the University of Technology, Sydney, and a Master’s in Public International Law from the University of Sydney with a focus in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). Following his studies Andrew moved to Hawaii to work for a large consulting firm providing management and operations services to the state. Eager to engage at the federal government level while contributing to the growth of a small business, Andrew joined the M Powered Strategies team where he serves as Director of Human Resources. Andrew is trained and certified by the Mediation Training Institute International as a Certified Workplace Mediator and Trainer in Workplace Mediation and has substantial experience providing client solutions in HR management, organization design, performance management, conflict resolution, and operations management.
Sarah Nurse, BSMP, is a senior consultant with 15 years of consulting experience, eight of which were spent supporting the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Her professional focus is on consulting related to strategic planning, strategic communications, complex stakeholder management, organizational design, facilitation, governance, and performance management. Sarah serves as M Powered Strategies’ Account Manager, overseeing the VA contracts.
Sales Operations Manager
Allison has over five years of experience consulting senior executives in various federal agencies. Her areas of expertise include strategic communications, stakeholder management, and program planning. Originally from California, Allison moved to Washington, DC, where she earned a Masters of Public Policy from the George Washington University. Living and studying in the nation’s capital sparked her interest in helping government clients find ways to make their programs more effective. She currently applies her range of skills working on government contracts, as well as overseeing capture and proposal operations at M Powered Strategies.
Patti has four years of experience in the Federal Government space, primarily supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs and Department of Commerce. Her focus includes requirements analysis, facilitation, professional development, and team building. Prior to her time at MPS, Patti worked in Health Services Research and Development at the Richard L. Roudebush Veterans Affairs Medical Center and with the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis Division of Student Affairs. Patti has a B.A. in government and politics with a minor in rhetoric from the University of Maryland and a M.P.A. from the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA).
